The Scripture says, “But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called ‘Today,’ so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness” (Hebrews 3:13). The question is, Will you have net-breaking obedience?ĭon’t you just love it when someone tells you that they're proud of you, or that something you said made a difference in their life, or that you look great? We know it’s the power of encouragement, but too often we don’t take it as seriously as we should. If you could see what’s on the other side of that obedience-the joy, the favor, the victory-you wouldn’t put it off. When you pass that test, you will come into moments that thrust you into your purpose. If you take that step when it’s hard, you’ll see God show out His greatness in your life. You can’t reach the fullness of your destiny without net-breaking obedience. Is God asking you to do a hard thing? Don’t talk yourself out of launching out into the deep. It’s simply a matter of God putting the fish, the provision, the healing, the good breaks, right where you need them even though they weren’t there before. It didn’t make sense in the daylight hours, but when Peter obeyed Jesus’ word, his nets were so full of fish that they started to break. When Jesus told Peter to launch out into the deep waters and he’d catch a great haul of fish, it went against all of Peter’s professional fisherman logic.
